Youth arrested over death

Thomas Loughery died from his injuries

A youth was expected to appear in court on Monday in connection with the death of a teenager.

Police said a 16-year-old boy had been arrested and was being held in custody following the death of Thomas Loughery.

The 17-year-old died as a result of serious injuries he had received in an incident in Shawbridge Street in the Pollokshaws area of Glasgow, last Sunday.

Strathclyde Police said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
