A director of a Formby construction and civil engineering business that failed with debts estimated at around £709,000 has been disqualified from being a company director for four years.
Andrew Christopher Robert Dunne, 34, of Haig Avenue, in Southport, has agreed not to take part in company management in that time.
Mr Dunne has agreed to the order in respect of his conduct as a director of Westbourne Design & Build Limited, which carried out business from premises at The Gallery, Furness Avenue, in Formby.
Mr Dunne accepted the undertaking on 9 September.
His company was placed into liquidation in August 2001 owing an estimated £709,000 to creditors.
He is said to have caused the company to trade to the detriment of creditors from 18 April 2001 onwards.
At the time of liquidation he cited the withdrawal of £168,660 by the company's former director, as one of the causes of Westbourne's failure.
The disqualification was made by the Insolvency Service. The service is responsible for investigating the conduct of directors of failed companies.
