Police probe abduction attempt
Police appeal
Anyone with information should contact Llandrindod Police Station
A six-year-old girl was the victim of an abduction attempt in mid Wales, say police.

The girl told detectives she was walking along a road in the village of Llangammarch Wells near Llanwrtyd Wells in Powys on Saturday.

Sometime between 1300BST and 1400BST a blue jeep or four-wheel drive type vehicle pulled up alongside her.

The driver got out of the vehicle and told her to get in.

Dyfed-Powys Police say she refused telling him she was going to tell her grandmother.

She then ran in the direction of her grandmother's home and the man got into the vehicle and drove off.

The driver is described as medium build, wearing a blue t-shirt and blue knee length shorts.

He had sunglasses, short combed dark hair and possibly a beard.

Anybody with any information is asked to contact Llandrindod Police Station on 01597 822 227.
