Canal body identified
Police in Lancashire have named a man whose body was found in a canal.

James Anthony Beattie's body was recovered from the Lancaster Canal, at Halton, early on Saturday morning.

Mr Beattie, who was from Lancaster, had gone in to the canal close to the aqueduct above the River Lune.

On Sunday Lancashire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
