Schoolboy in court over drugs find

A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court accused of being in possession of drugs at a school.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at a youth court in Sunderland.

He spoke to confirm his name and address.

The teenager has been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Sunderland Magistrates' Court on 9 October.

The name of the school has not been released for legal reasons.
