E-fit release in Bristol murder case
The police e-fit
Detectives investigating the murder of Stephen Henry in Bristol have released an e-fit of a man they want to question.

Mr Henry, 32, was shot three times as he got into his car in Woodland Road at 0230 BST on Sunday, after leaving a local nightclub.

The man in the e-fit ran from the scene in the direction of nearby university buildings.

He is described as black, 6ft tall, wearing a baseball cap, dark jacket with a hooded top underneath, and light-coloured trousers.

Police are also appealing for anyone who saw a man hanging around the area of Woodland Road an hour before the shooting to contact them, and say this man and the man in the e-fit could be one and the same.

A post mortem examination revealed Mr Henry was shot three times.

Detective Superintendent Paul James, the officer leading the investigation, said: "We would appeal to anyone who recognises the e-fit of this man to ring us immediately.

"He has a distinctive short moustache, which is squared off at the ends."

He added: "Inquiries have also revealed that a similarly described black man was seen in the area where the murder took place, at least an hour before the shooting.

"It could be that this man and the man featured in the e-fit are the same one.

Four shots

"It is possible this man may have been in The Level earlier in the evening and it certainly appears as if he was lying in wait immediately prior to the shooting," he said.

Mr Henry had spent the evening at The Level nightclub in Park Row - he left the club with a friend and two women he had been speaking to while there, and the group walked to his yellow Fiat Punto car, parked in Woodland Road.

As he was getting into the driver's seat, a man - who police believe may also have been in the nightclub earlier in the evening - approached the vehicle and fired four shots, three of which hit Mr Henry.

Officers say they have also identified and spoken to both of the women who were with Mr Henry at the time of the shooting.
