A man says his steady hand has been spoilt by drilling
A Newark man says he has been unable to work because of vibrations from a building site next to his house.

Bruno Allinson paints miniature figures for war games but says his home on Albert Street has been constantly shaking with redevelopment work at the former brewery site next door.

Newark and Sherwood District Council say the contractors from a private firm are working within the regulations.

But he claims that the sound of a pile driver thumping wooden poles into the ground is driving him to distraction.

Mr Allinson said: "They started these massive building works next to my home.

"I keep comparing it with Jurassic park, everything shakes.

"If I have a cup of coffee it is vibrating every time the drill hits the ground.

"There is no way I can work like that."
