One person killed in crash

One person has died in a crash on the A5 in Shropshire.

The westbound carriageway was closed for more than five hours following the incident on Saturday.

One vehicle was involved in the crash which happened at 0830 BST.

The road was partially reopened at about 1400 BST.

Diversions have been put in place from junction seven of the M54 at Wellington.

The road is the main route for holidaymakers heading to north and mid Wales.
