Woman charged over shed baby death
A 22-year-old woman has been charged with child neglect and concealing a birth after the discovery of a baby's body in a garden shed.

The body was found "concealed" in the shed in Broadstairs, Kent, on Thursday afternoon.

A man and woman were arrested by Kent Police, and were questioned throughout Friday and Saturday.

Police charged Michelle Rose South, a 22-year-old dental nurse from Prince Charles Road in Broadstairs, on Saturday night.

A 34-year-old man who had also been questioned was released without charge.

Officers were called to an address in Prince Charles Road by a member of the public shortly after 1500 BST on Thursday, where they found the baby's body in the shed.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Friday afternoon but police said it had not been able to establish the cause of death.
