Hertfordshire Police say they have made the biggest-ever seizure of drugs in the county, recovering cocaine and cannabis resin with a street value of more than £12m.
Police and Customs and Excise officers took part in the raids on two addresses in Watford in the early hours of Friday morning.
They were carrying search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
At one address, police found 150 kilogrammes of cocaine and at the second recovered 1.5 tonnes of cannabis resin (hashish).
Paul Clarke, 33, of Stanmore Road, Watford was arrested and has appeared before magistrates in the town charged with possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply.
