Shots fired at actress's house
Jennifer Ellison
Jennifer Ellison is believed to have been in London at the time
Detectives in Merseyside are investigating after shots were fired at the home of ex-Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison.

Officers were called after two bullet holes were spotted in the front door of Ellison's house in West Derby.

The 20-year-old, who launched a pop singing career earlier this year, shares the detached house with her fiancé Tony Richardson.

It is understood she was in London at the time of the incident in Fallbrook Drive and no-one was injured.

Merseyside Police said it was not clear when the shots were fired.

A spokesman said: "We have been making house-to-house inquiries in to the incident, but we do not believe it is linked to any other incidents in the city."

Forensic experts have been examining the house and on Wednesday night the house was cordoned off.

Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about it should contact them.
