Bus drivers accept pay deal
Stagecoach bus in Hull
Drivers were demanding a 9% pay increase
Bus drivers in Hull have cancelled their industrial action after accepting a revised pay deal.

Staff voted in favour of the latest offer from Stagecoach on Wednesday night.

The dispute saw staff stage a number of work stoppages during September in support of their £7 per hour pay claim - a 9% increase - with the threat of more strikes to come.

Members of the Transport and General Workers' Union have agreed to accept a slightly smaller increase in return for the creation of a formal group to discuss working conditions.

Stagecoach operates approximately 50% of bus services in Hull.
