Man injured after car stolen
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious leg injuries when he was run over while trying to stop a teenager stealing his car.

The 40-year-old man was working on a van outside Summit Engineering, on Lode Lane Industrial Estate in Solihull, West Midlands, on 16 September.

A youth climbed into his silver Volvo estate which was parked next to the van at about 1600 BST.

As the youth drove off, the owner lent through the window and tried to pull the keys out of the ignition, but fell to the ground.

The youth then reversed over the man's legs and drove off towards Lode Lane.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said his condition was not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said the car - registration number A9 OWS - had yet not been found.

The youth is described as Asian, in his teens, 5ft 10ins tall and slim, with short straight black hair.

He was clean shaven and was wearing a long-sleeved top and blue trousers.
