Brian Perkins

He's the voice of Radio 4, not to mention his lucrative sideline as a sinister crime boss (according to radio's Dead Ringers, that is). Put your questions to Brian Perkins.
After 40 years on air, the Radio 4 newsreader Brian Perkins has retired. But his velvet smooth and gloomily authorative tones will still grace the airwaves, albeit much less frequently, as a freelancer.
Perkins, a New Zealander who "knocked on the BBC's door" when he arrived in London in the 1960s, also spent time as an orchestral bass player.
Today he is something of a cult figure, thanks to his character as a Mafioso-style hardman in the radio version of the impressions show Dead Ringers.
Send us a question and we will put it to Brian Perkins.
