Map showing crash sites
Both gliders came down at approximately the same time
Three people have been injured in two separate glider crashes in the region.

Both aircraft came down at about 1500 BST near Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire and Pocklington, east Yorkshire.

It is believed the first glider crashed through a dry stone wall at Brimham Rocks in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene and took two casualties to Harrogate District Hospital.

A 55-year-old male is being treated for head, leg and back injuries.

His 63-year-old female passenger suffered spinal injuries in the crash.

The second glider came down near the B1246 in Pocklington just after 1500 BST.

The male pilot was the only person on board the craft and is reported to be suffering from multiple fractures.
