Six arrests as drugs seized

Police have arrested six people and seized drugs at addresses in Withywood in Bristol.

Officers made the arrests during three raids on Monday and Tuesday, during which they seized 69 cannabis plants worth £69,000.

The five men and one woman were arrested on a combination of drugs, robbery and firearms offences.

Three of the six have been released, but the others are still in custody helping police with their enquiries.

Inspector Richard McKiernan said: "Our operations were the result of good policing and the support of the local community."
