There was no evidence linking the dustcart to the boy's death
The driver of a dustcart who was accused of careless driving following the death of a toddler has been cleared in court.

Bradley Smith, who was 17 months old, was killed on the driveway of his home in Rothwell in June 2002.

Milan Krajcir from Kettering, Northamptonshire, had always denied causing the death of the toddler.

The 51-year-old broke down in tears after being cleared of careless driving at Kettering Magistrates Court.

The court ruled there was no evidence to link the dustcart Mr Krajcir was driving to the death of the child.

An inquest in February of this year had recorded a verdict of accidental death.
