New clues in murder attempt
Deja Vu nightclub, Swanley
The man was chased 300 yards down the road from the club
A man who was run over outside a night club has given police new details about his attackers.

The 27-year-old from Bexleyheath was deliberately run down by a car after leaving the Deja Vu club, in Swanley, Kent, in the early hours of Saturday.

He had been seen arguing with three men inside the London Road venue earlier that night.

Kent Police said on Wednesday the victim was "lucky to be alive" after the attack, which left him with a broken leg needing seven hours of reconstructive surgery.

Barcode tattoo

He is now recovering in a private hospital and has given detectives fresh details about his assailants.

The car driver is understood to be between 5 ft and 5 ft 6in tall, aged 24 to 27 and has short brown hair.

He has a diagonal scar under his left eye and a barcode tattoo on the back of his neck.

Detective Inspector Dave Brittain, of Kent Police, said the victim had challenged a customer over the way he was talking to one of the bar staff.

Punched in the face

He was punched in the face, breaking one of his teeth, and reported the incident to door staff before leaving.

While he was waiting for a taxi the offender and two of his friends came outside, chasing him 300 yards down the A20 towards Sidcup.

One of them drove a dark blue Ford Granada - with the number plates A20 NME at the front and D182 JJD at the rear - at the victim on the footpath.

"He is lucky to be alive," said Mr Brittain.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Kent Police.
