Tractor hunted after crash
Police in Somerset are hunting the driver of a tractor involved in a hit-and-run crash which left a woman badly hurt.

The 23-year-old woman, from Westonzoyland, was airlifted to hospital in Bath with serious leg injuries after her red Ford Escort was in collision with a silver Citroen car.

Police believe a tractor or other slow-moving vehicle played a role in the crash, but left the scene before officers arrived.

The collision happened on the A361 between Othery and Burrowbridge, near Bridgwater, just after 0800 BST on Tuesday.

The road was closed for five hours while accident investigators examined the scene and the wreckage was cleared away.

Police investigating the crash are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
