A man accused of murdering two prostitutes whose dismembered bodies were found in bin bags has made his first crown court appearance.

He is accused of killing Hanane Parry, 19, originally from Chester, and Pauline Stephen, 25, from Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

Their bodies were found in an alley in the St Domingo Vale area of Everton in Liverpool on 20 July.

Mr Corner, of Dunluce Street, made a 10-minute appearance at court, before being further remanded in custody.

A 24-year-old man from Lydiate, Merseyside, who was also arrested in connection with the inquiry, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
