An inmate at Bedford jail arrested by police investigating the discovery of an unidentified body has been released without charge.
The body, which was found on 21 December 2002 at Upton, near Peterborough, had been shot, stabbed and set on fire.
A 42-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of murder and released after being questioned at Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough.
Cambridgeshire Police have also begun a full forensic search at a house in Ufford, near Peterborough.
Despite extensive forensic tests on the body, experts have still to make a full identification.
They think the dead man was born in the Ukraine, but spent the last three to six years of his life living on the East coast of Britain.
His last four weeks alive may have been spent in north Germany or Holland, and he is thought to be aged between 30 and 45.
When he was found, he had been wrapped in a green blanket and a cream-coloured bedspread, and was wearing a blue T-shirt, a dark jumper, trousers, socks but no shoes, and a jacket with brass buttons.
A bag from a Lidl store was near the body, containing salami, feta cheese, tomatoes and a carton of ice cream.
Officers say they still want anyone with information to come forward and that any calls would be treated confidentially.
