Appeal over injured man mystery
Brendan O'Grady
Mr O'Grady has been unconscious for nearly a week
Police are trying to discover what happened to a man found in the street with serious head injuries.

Brendan O'Grady, 49, from Salford, Greater Manchester, has been unconscious in hospital since he was found on Saturday.

Officers are trying to establish how Mr O'Grady was injured and where he had been before he was found.

Two members of the public found him in a dazed state on Hankinson Way at Salford Precinct at about 0702 BST and he collapsed shortly afterwards.

His condition is described as "poorly but stable" in the intensive care unit at Hope Hospital.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Jackson from Salford CID said: "Mr O'Grady has suffered very serious head injuries but we have so far been unable to establish how they happened due to the fact that he has been unconscious since he was found on Saturday morning.

"We know that he didn't have these injuries prior to Friday morning so we now need to find out exactly where he was on Friday night and Saturday morning and what happened to him during this time."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Salford CID.
