Bus stop girl raped
A man raped a 16-year-old girl he met at a bus stop, before putting her in a taxi and sending her home.

The girl was waiting for a bus near to Domino's Pizza restaurant on Sarum Hill, Basingstoke, on Tuesday, when her attacker approached her and offered to take her for a drink.

The pair are believed to have gone to a bar in Festival Place, before making their way towards the skateboard park area of the War Memorial Park, where the girl was raped.

Following the attack, the man walked the girl to Joices Yard, where she caught a taxi home between 2230 BST and 2300 BST.

Hampshire police are appealing for the taxi driver to come forward.

Upset and distressed

Detectives believe he was white, driving a green car - similar in size to a Ford Mondeo - with writing printed along the side.

She was dropped off near the White Hart pub in Worting Road, and may have appeared upset and distressed, police said.

Detectives are also appealing for anyone who may have seen the man and girl walking up New Street, into London Road and onto Crossborough Hill, towards the park where the rape took place.

The man is described as Asian, 25, of slim build, 5 ft 6 in, wearing blue denim jeans, a waist-length grey jacket, with black shoes and collar-length black hair.
