Man accused of killing wife

A man has been charged with the murder of his wife in Lancashire.

Carl Owens, 40, was arrested on Thursday after the death of Ann Marie Owens in Lancaster.

Mrs Owens, 38, died on Wednesday following the incident in Slyne Road.

On Friday Lancashire Police said Mr Owens had been charged with killing her.

Mr Owens, of Lymm Avenue, Lancaster, appeared before magistrates in the city on Friday.
