Police issue rapist e-fit
E-fit of the Manchester Airport rapist
The woman said her attacker smelt of oil
Police hunting a man who raped a Manchester Airport employee have released an electronic image of her attacker.

The woman was assaulted at about 0545 BST on 8 September near the power plant at Terminal Two, behind the Radisson Hotel.

The man pulled her into nearby bushes and punched her in the face before assaulting her.

She escaped and ran to the terminal building where she raised the alarm.

Detective Constable Andy MacNab, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "The victim has shown great courage in dealing with what was a brutal and horrific assault.

"She has now managed to put an e-fit together of her attacker, and we believe it is a good likeness and anyone who knows this man would recognise him.

'Eliminate suspects'

"I would urge anyone who thinks they know who committed this terrible crime to come forward before he attacks another woman.

"Even if you are not sure it is the person you suspect, please get in touch as it could help eliminate suspects from the inquiry.

"It is vital that we catch this man as soon as possible."

Detectives believe the man may have targeted women before and have called on anyone who was attacked by him to come forward.

He is white, 5ft 9ins tall and aged in his 30s. He was wearing a blue top, blue or black trousers and he smelt of oil.
