Man dies after fall from car
A 22-year-old man has died after falling onto a busy dual carriageway from a moving car.

David William Copeland, from Seaham, was certified dead at Sunderland Royal Hospital, about an hour after the accident on Tuesday.

It happened shortly after 2100 BST on the southbound carriageway of the A19, a mile-and-a-half south of the B1285 at Murton, County Durham.

Mr Copeland's father was driving his son and his girlfriend to Trimdon Station when the accident happened.

Mr Copeland was a front seat passenger in the Vauxhall Cavalier at the time.

He suffered severe head injuries.

Durham Police are appealing for witnesses.
