Police tackle 'late night louts'
West Mercia Police are tackling the problem of late night louts in a Worcestershire town by introducing a mobile CCTV van to catch out the criminals.

More officers will also be on patrol in Evesham.

Police say anti-social behaviour is on the increase in the town, while in other areas it is going down.

In the past few months, one policewoman has been injured while trying to arrest somebody and there have also been incidents where people have turned aggressive and caused a nuisance after a night of drinking.

Probationary police officers will be sent to the town along with regular officers who will increase their numbers.

There will also be more high profile visible policing and personal visits to licensees to try and get them to understand the problem and stop underage drinking.

Local night club owners have joined in saying they do not admit drunks and anyone who is aggressive.
