Nursery injury boy returns home
An eight-month-old boy who suffered serious head injuries following an incident at a nursery has been discharged from hospital.

The baby was being looked after at Teddies Nurseries in Bracknell, Berkshire, when he received the injuries.

He was released from hospital on Wednesday evening after being admitted a week earlier.

It is thought the boy, who has not been identified, was playing with another group of children when the incident occurred.

After being given first aid at the scene, he was taken to the Royal Berkshire hospital before being transferred to London's Great Ormond Street children's hospital.

Nursery investigation

He was later sent back to the Reading hospital.

A police investigation is still under way to establish exactly what happened.

Officers are currently working with environmental health staff, Ofsted and social services as part of the inquiry.

Teddies Nurseries, part of a chain owned by Bupa Childcare, is also undertaking its own investigation.

Its bosses have described the incident as an "accident".
