Jersey's police force has been congratulated by Her Majesty's Inspectorate for their strong commitment to serve the community.
It also praised the police for the boost to officers' morale and motivation since the last HMI inspection three years ago.
The report follows the week-long official inspection of the force in December by Sir Ronnie Flanagan, the former Chief of the Northern Ireland Police Service.
Her Majesty's Inspectorate said the most notable areas of improvement were the 15% reduction in crime and the recruitment of 22 more officers in the past year.
Chief Officer of the Jersey States Police, Graham Power, said one of the main aims of the force now was to continue tackling the island's drugs problems.
