Appeal to 'witness' of brick attack
Victim of the brick attack in Blackpool
The victim had told her boyfriend she was being followed
Police investigating a brick attack on a woman in Lancashire are appealing for a vital witness to come forward.

The 22-year-old woman was attacked as she walked along West Park Drive in Blackpool in the early hours of Saturday.

She was talking on a mobile phone to her boyfriend when he heard her shout "Get off" as the attacker struck.

Lancashire Police want to speak to the driver of a Vauxhall Astra, which was seen driving at speed, around the time of the incident. They believe he may have seen what happened.

The woman suffered serious facial injuries in the assault.

She had told her boyfriend she was being followed, only moments before she was attacked.

The attacker was white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall, and of stocky or medium build.

He had dark brown curtain-style hair and was wearing dark-coloured trousers and a white shirt.
