Girls escape attacker
Police are appealing for information after two ten-year-old girls were attacked by a man in Stoke-on-Trent.

It happened when the girls were sitting on the Greenway between Clanway Street and Greyshot Road in Tunstall at about 1930 BST on Monday.

A man approached the girls and tried to grab them but they managed to get away.

A police spokesman said they did not believe the man was trying to abduct the girls.

He is described as aged in his 20s, with a tattoo of a bird on his arm and one of an animal on his neck.

He was wearing an orange t-shirt, black shorts, trainers and black leather gloves.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information.
