Man charged over bus stabbing

Police said Milisa Duker-Brown was stabbed six or seven times
A man has been charged after a young mother with her baby was repeatedly stabbed on a crowded bus in south London.

Unemployed Robert Alphonso Reid, 36, appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with attempted murder.

Mr Reid, of Plover House, Brixton Road, south London is also charged with robbery.

He was remanded in custody until he appears at the Old Bailey on 24 September.

Milisa Duker-Brown is recovering in hospital and her five-month-old daughter Sammy-Jane is in the care of the her grandmother Esther Ansah.

The 22-year-old was on the number three bus in Kennington, south London, when she was attacked at 1045 BST on Monday .
