Singer Maffia rubbishes violence link
Maffia spoke warmly of stab victim Dizzee Rascal
So Solid Crew singer Lisa Maffia has dismissed reports linking her to outbreaks of violence among British tourists in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.

She said she had no connection with events which led to British rapper Dizzee Rascal - 18-year-old Dylan Mills - being stabbed outside a nightclub.

Maffia, 24, said reports that he had prompted the trouble by pinching her bottom in a club the previous night were "insane".

"It's absolute rubbish," she said.

"I've only found him to be the nicest guy on earth. He's so young, he's so talented and he's so funny."

Rascal, who has been nominated for a Mercury music prize, was attacked on 6 July after being dragged from his scooter.

So Solid Crew's Megaman - Dwayne Vincent - was questioned and eliminated from police inquiries.

There had been reports of friction between members of So Solid Crew and Rascal's group, Roll Deep Crew.

Another Briton, Rudi Gaston, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in Ayia Napa on Wednesday.

The east coast Cypriot resort has become a popular destination for British fans of garage music.
