A woman's body has been recovered from a house in south Wales after a fire.
South Wales Fire Service was alerted to the blaze in Cwmbran at 0315 BST on Thursday.
When two fire engines from the Cwmbran station arrived five minutes later at Porthmawr Road, Northville, the living room was well alight.
The firefighters used breathing gear and two hose reels to put out the flames.
Forensic scientists are examining the house.
Gwent Police are investigating, and say they are not treating the fire as suspicious at the moment.
They said they were keen to speak to two men who were seen outside the property at approximately 0315 BST.
The woman's body has yet to be formally identified and a post mortem examination is expected to take place at the University Hospital of Wales in Cwmbran at 0900 BST on Friday.
