A roadsweeper has been arrested after a woman died in a three-vehicle crash in Wiltshire.
Police say the 49-year-old driver of the road sweeping machine lost control of it after it was in collision with a lorry.
The woman, who has not been named but is believed to be aged 30 and from Malmesbury, died at the scene of the accident at about 1730 BST on Wednesday.
She had been driving her Ford Fiesta towards Malmesbury along the B4042 at Callow Hill near Brinkley when the crash happened.
Road closed
Another driver involved required hospital treatment for minor injuries.
The roadsweeper, who had been travelling in the opposite direction, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The road was closed for nine hours while police accident investigators examined the scene and the crash wreckage.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "The driver who is a local man was arrested at the scene and has been released on bail pending further inquiries."
Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
