A man was run over outside a night club in an incident police are treating as attempted murder.
The victim had been seen arguing with three men inside the Deja Vu club in Swanley, Kent, before the incident in the early hours of Saturday.
On Monday he was seriously ill in intensive care and police appealed for fellow clubbers to come forward with information.
They think somebody will have seen the attackers, who drove over the man at least once about 200 yards from the club in London Road.
Kent Police said other customers would have witnessed the row in the club and "may hold important clues" to the the men involved.
Bar code pattern
They said the victim, from Bexleyheath, was walking along London Road towards Sidcup and was opposite the slip road to the A20 between 0150 and 0210 BST.
It was then that an old blue Ford Granada mounted the pavement and did a three-point-turn before driving at speed directly towards the man and running him over, probably more than once, police said.
The man driving the car has been described as white, about 5 ft 9 ins tall, wearing a heavy gold chain, and had short dark hair with a bar code pattern at the back.
The victim, who suffered multiple injuries, was wearing a long-sleeved striped shirt and beige trousers.
North Kent Police said anyone who saw the incident or had information on the men or the car involved should contact them.
