Three released on bail after stabbing
Two men and a youth have been released on bail while police continue to investigate the stabbing and beating of a man in Telford.

The victim remains in a critical condition following the attack in Trench on Sunday night.

He was stabbed in the shoulder and beaten with what police believe was a baseball bat.

The three people are due to return to the police station on 29 September.

West Mercia Police were called to reports of a disturbance in Stanmore Drive just after 2000 BST on Sunday.

Officers found the victim in the nearby Duke of York pub. He was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital, in Telford.

Police sealed off a house in Stanmore Drive while a forensic examination was carried out.

Three people were arrested in connection with the incident.
