At least 10 people have been killed in a landmine explosion in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, the authorities say.
The state director-general of police, NC Padhi, told the BBC that the incident took place when a joint patrolling group of security forces hit the device in the district of Koraput.
Mr Padhi said a Naxalite organisation, the Peoples' War Group, was responsible for the blast.
No group has said it carried out the attack.
