Woman arrested over baby death
A 65-year-old woman has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a baby who was found at an address in north London.

A London Ambulance crew found the five-day-old girl with head injuries at Dunloe Avenue, Tottenham at about 1300 BST on Wednesday 23 July.

The baby was taken to the North Middlesex Hospital and then transferred to St Mary's Hospital, Paddington where she died the next day.

The woman was arrested at her home in New Southgate, north London and is being held at an east London police station.

Scotland Yard said the baby's family name was Shala but she had not yet been formally given a first name.

A post mortem examination determined she died of head injuries.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who was in Dunloe Avenue on the morning of 23 July.
