Gang beats woman unconscious

Police are appealing for information after a gang of four women beat another woman unconscious in Northamptonshire.

The attack happened in High Street, Rushden, at 2345 BST on Saturday.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said the victim, who has not been named, lost consciousness after being repeatedly punched.

The attack left her with extensive bruising.

Police are hoping that someone may have seen the attack.
