Michael Foot's 32 years as a Welsh MP ended in 1992

A competition run by BBC News Online to mark the 90th birthday of veteran Labour politician Michael Foot produced a huge response.
We gave users of the site the chance to win a signed copy of the new book by the former Labour leader, The Uncollected Michael Foot.
We asked when Mr Foot stepped down as MP for Ebbw Vale, the seat which later became Blaenau Gwent.
And the winner is... Zilla Grindrod, of Worthing, West Sussex.
The correct answer was, of course, 1992.
The overwhelming majority got the answer right, although a few incorrectly said it was either 1987, or 1997.
Mr Foot sat for the south Wales valley seat from 1960 until his retirement from parliament at the 1992 election.
The prize will be making its way to West Sussex soon. Many thanks to everyone who entered.
