A teenager has been charged with attacking and robbing a pensioner in Sion Mills at the weekend.
Strabane court was told the 16-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, is accused of assaulting Patrick McSorley, 66, in the village causing him actual bodily harm.
He is also charged with robbing the pensioner of £15.
The charges relate to an incident at midnight on Sunday as Mr McSorley was returning home after a night out at a recreation club.
He was struck in the face and head during the assault.
A police constable told the court that when the charges were put to the youth, he made no reply.
He was remanded in custody until 26 August.
