Funeral for father and son

The funeral will take place later month this month of a father and son killed in a motorcycle crash.

Peter Cassidy, 40, and pillion passenger Samuel Turvey, 17, were killed when their Kawasaki 1300 motorcycle crashed on the B3213 in Bittaford last Friday.

Mr Cassidy had taken his son for a ride to celebrate his 17th birthday.

Bike enthusiast Mr Cassidy, of Bigbury in south Devon, belonged to the Aquilla Motorcycle Club in Plymouth.

He had been reunited with his son two years ago, after Mr Cassidy separated from Sam's mother when his son was a baby.

The pair will be buried at Bigbury Church after a post-mortem investigation has taken place.

Police, who believe that no other vehicle was involved in the incident, are appealing for witnesses.
