A teenager has died in hospital days after being stabbed during a disturbance in a Birmingham street which was witnessed by his mother.
Jahmaine Ezron Dower was knifed in the side in Ladywood, Birmingham, on
Tuesday.
The 16-year-old died from his injuries in hospital on Friday morning.
West Midlands Police said the disturbance, at the junction of King Edwards Road and Ladywood Middleway, happened at about 1900 BST and was seen by Jahmaine's mother.
Detective Chief Inspector Russell Smith, who has launched a murder inquiry into the death, said: "We are urgently trying to locate a 34-year-old man.
"I would urge this man, who will know we are trying to trace him, to contact
officers at Rose Road police station or go to the nearest police station."
