Police divers are searching for the body of a man believed to have drowned in a former mill pond.
Police and ambulance crews were called to St George's Lodge in Bury, Greater Manchester, at about 2000 BST on Friday.
The alarm was raised by one of the man's friends after it became clear he was in difficulty.
Paramedics were unable to find him and a spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said on Saturday that underwater search teams were searching for him.
The identity of the man, thought to be in his early 20s, has not been released.
