West Yorkshire police are to travel to the United States to question a man wanted in connection with a murder in Bradford almost two years ago.
The man, who has not been named, is in custody for offences allegedly committed in America.
Mohammed Basharat, 33, was shot dead on 20 October, 2001, at the offices of the Little Horton taxi firm in Bradford.
The shooting followed what has been described as a road rage incident the day before, following a collision between his car and a Renault Clio carrying two men.
Although a number of people were questioned at the time of the murder, detectives have yet to find the killer.
Now, a Jamaican national has been arrested in the United States in connection with a series of offences there in 1993.
Detectives from West Yorkshire are to travel to America to question him and extradition proceedings could follow.
