Man struck in face with brick
Matthew Montgomery was struck in the face with a brick
A man has been hit in the face with a brick during trouble in north Belfast.

It was the second set of minor disturbances at the Deerpark Road on Wednesday evening.

The man was attacked by a group of loyalists as a Catholic family moved out of the area following threats.

In recent weeks, loyalist youths have attacked a number of Catholic families' homes.

Sinn Fein has blamed the Ulster Defence Association for orchestrating attacks on Catholics in the area.

Protestant community workers admitted windows were smashed by loyalists but said it was drunken youths with no paramilitary connections.

They blamed republicans for some of the disturbances.

Later on Wednesday, the police said the Deerpark Road was quiet but officers were continuing to patrol the area.
