Husband on murder charge

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his wife in Eastbourne.

Nicholas Terence Bailey, 58, entered no plea at Lewes Crown Court to the charge of murdering Susan Bailey on 15 August.

Mrs Bailey, also 58, was found dead at her home in Channel View Road over the weekend of the town's Airbourne show.

Mr Bailey, of Gilbert Road, Eastbourne, was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at the same court for a plea and directions hearing on 21 November.
