A teenager has been charged with burgling a house in order to rape a woman in her 80s.
He has also been charged with wounding, burglary causing grievous bodily harm and indecent assault, in relation to the attack.
The 17-year-old appeared in court on Tuesday charged with a sex attack on another woman, allegedly carried out minutes later in the same Dorset town.
The teenager appeared on Wednesday morning at Blandford Youth Court.
In the first incident, an elderly woman and her husband were attacked in their flat at about 0230 BST on Sunday, 31 August.
Minutes later, less than half a mile away, a woman in her 30s suffered a serious sexual assault in another flat.
