Woman attacked in university grounds

Three men have been charged with the false imprisonment and rape of a woman attacked in in the grounds of the University of Nottingham.

They are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates on Monday.

Police said the 35-year-old victim was attacked between 0300 BST and 0500 BST on Friday.

The woman, who has no connection with the university, received medical attention.

Tony Hayden from Nottinghamshire Police says the woman who was attacked was left very shaken by the incident.

Shortly after the attack, officers arrested three men in the Lace Street area of Dunkirk.
